An 85 year old cat loving man has been keeping a secret from his wife. His love for felines has saved a furry family that his wife had no knowledge about until now.

Jimmy and his wife live in a beautiful neighborhood in Puerto Rico. Stray cats are often seen roaming around the area. Jimmy has a soft spot for these furry creatures and would welcome them all to his warm abode if possible. However, his wife shares a different opinion and prefers keeping the house feline-free.
As a known loving husband, father, and grandpa, he wants all the happiness for his wife, but these stray cats are like family to him and he feels the need to help them whenever he comes across those in need.
"My grandpa felt for the stray cats and would leave food in the back of the house near his tool shed, a spot where my grandma doesn't go," Syl, granddaughter, told The Dodo. "This particular cat was especially friendly and got attached to my grandpa."

Soon he discovered that the stray cat was carrying a few more in her belly and his grandfatherly instinct kicked in. He knew that he had to take care of them.
"My grandpa let a stray cat have her kittens in his tool shed and now he's raising a bunch of cats behind my grandmas back because she said no," Syl, granddaughter, said via twitter.

Jimmy knew that his wife would oppose the idea of bringing in the pregnant stray, so he found them another home—his shed where he fashioned it into a kitten nursery and prepped it with all the essentials to ensure a comfortable and safe stay for the furry family.
When the stray cat gave birth, Jimmy was giddy with joy as if he was getting grandchildren all over again. When his granddaughter found out about his clandestine work, she wasn't surprised at all as she knows what a kind and loving man he is.

Eventually about three weeks after the kittens were born, the secret was out. His wife came to understand why her husband had gone above and beyond for these animals after seeing how happy and thankful the kitties were.
It's hard not to have your heart melted by these precious little furry babies.

Jimmy will continue caring for the feline family until the kitties are big enough to go to good homes. He knew from the start that he would look after these kitties and found a way to make it work.
It's not hard to believe that a man like him can win over the hearts of both human and furry kind with his kindness and genuine love.
