A little black kitten was found unable to walk. A kind woman brought him into the Tenth Life, a rescue group for strays in the St. Louis area. They discovered that the little kitty was completely immobile, but against all odds, the volunteers never gave up on him. Then one day, something amazing happened….

Lincoln the rescue kitty and his story by Tenth Life (facebook page):

Last weekend, we received a deeply concerning call: a woman in north St. Louis found a four-week-old kitten in the middle of the sidewalk, completely immobile. She brought him inside to
help him and scan for injuries, but couldn’t find anything immediately visible. She fed and observed the kitten, who just laid on his side, unable to stand or move his legs. She assumed he had broken his legs and/or paws.

When we picked Lincoln up from the woman’s home, our hearts sank, seeing that this poor kitten was essentially quadriplegic. Never ones to give up hope, we had the tiny, motionless kitten examined, fearing the worst. Our vets felt his was a spinal or neurological injury, and they were unsure what impact, if any, physical therapy would have for his condition.

Amazing foster parents, Bobbi & John, took this news as a challenge, and they are performing physical therapy with little Lincoln 6 times a day, pumping his little legs, stretching them out, and supporting him as he learns to walk again.

2 days ago, he could only lie limply, raising his head occasionally. Tonight, the tenacious kitten is curling his paws around a human finger, standing with support, and picking up his paws to take steps. He even sat on his hind legs and batted at a toy!!! Bobbi says that this little bit of exertion utterly exhausted him and he is now napping soundly, but we are incredibly encouraged by his progress in such a short period, and we’re confident that Lincoln will walk again.

Liam a tiny black kitty was spotted on a Sunday night. He was only 5 weeks old at the time, tiny as a furball. He quickly adjusted to his new home. Though he didn’t get adequate care from his own mother, little Liam is always adventurous. When he practiced walking, he started with a pounce. Liam’s human dad, Christian fed the little one round the clock.

Initially, they considered to adopt Liam out when he was big enough, but that simply didn’t happen. As Liam grew bigger, the family grew more attached to the little clingy boy who aboslutely loves lap time with his humans.

Liam is a squeaker. “Meep is his nickname as he squeaks more than meows…” said Christian.

Today Liam is all grown up. He’s come a long way from a little rescue to a beautiful black panther kitty today.

It was a freezing cold night. A small defenseless kitten was out by himself hopelessly until a man who happened to be there, found him. He thought the kitten wouldn’t make it that night, but this little fuzzy kitten is a fighter.

Friday night it was less than 20 degrees (farenheit), and when I took the dog outside I heard crying. Found this tiny ball barely moving, laying on it’s side slowly moving it’s legs and its mouth barely able to open… basically freezing to death. Another 10 minutes and the kitten probably would’ve been dead.

[I] brought him inside and wrapped him in a towel/heating pad, fed him warm sugar water…. His mouth was frozen solid, tongue frozen to the top of his mouth and his fur had frost in it…. [It] took about 4 hours of warming up for him to take some milk, when he was showing signs of life and falling asleep, [I] put him in a box with the heating pad and left him overnight.

When morning came around, he was acting just like a kitten, playful, happy, mewing, and eating. He was about 5 weeks old (checking teeth) and I knew a vet assistant that adopted him the next day.

The kitty started eating more and more under the 24 hour care in his new family. He was given a second chance to live again. “We gave him a chance to be happy, just like someone gave our pets a chance to be happy when they rescued them,” said Groots.

Luck sometimes comes with three tiny black kitties.

These fuzzy furballs came out of nowhere from a bush near a house. The cat mother was nowhere to be found, but luckily the kitties weren’t the only ones there.

“We were changing an alternator at a friends house last night at about 11pm. We heard some noises in the bush so we shined the light at the bush. Out came one kitten, then another, and the last one,” said prezbenz via reddit.

The kittens were less than 2 months old, but they were already claiming their new home and wreaking havoc. These rambunctious little ones are going to make their new home a very happy place.

“I took the kittens to the vet. It was the best $150 spent to get them cleaned and fixed up,” prezbenz added.
