A wildfire hit Santa Barbara back in 2009, forcing many animals to relocate. A tiny bobcat kitten and a fawn found themselves clinging to each other.

According to Chesters House, “The Jesusita Fire in Santa Barbara , CA… caused these two to take shelter together. The fawn is 3 days old and the bobcat about 3 weeks. The fawn came from somewhere in the fire and the bobcat from Carpentaria. They immediately bonded and snuggled together under a desk in the Santa Barbara County Dispatch Office for several hours.”

“…the bobcat kitten was rescued near Arnold Schwarzeneggers ranch, where it was dehydrated and near death…. Although wild animals, especially of separate species, are never placed together due to regulations, in this emergency situation, they had no choice. During the mayhem of the fire, they were forced to put animals anywhere they could, since they had run out of crates large enough for the fawn. The kitten ran to the fawn, and it was instant bonding.”

Three newborn bobcat kittens were found in the woods of Alabama, but they were given a second chance by a black and white house cat named Bobbi.

These 2-week-old wild kittens were brought into Big Cat Rescue in Tampa by Jamie Veronica who drove almost 24 hours on the road even barreling through rainstorms after she received a phone call from a veterinary clinic. The kittens were then bottle fed, but the staff from Big Cat Rescue wanted to provide a feline mother who could eventually teach them the skills necessary to survive in the wild. They contacted many local shelters and finally came across this one cat  named Bobbi.

Bobbi is a former stray cat who just gave birth to her own kittens. The staff of Big Cat Rescue were worried about if she would accept the wild kittens. When Bobbi came out of the carrier, she heard a few faint cries from the wild furry babies. Within a few minutes, she stepped in and started nursing them.

Bobcats don’t usually make friends with hoomans. When a bobcat is high fiving a person, you can assume that the person is in deep doodoo.

Andy Samberg looks happy in the picture, but I suspect the Bobcat is plotting something. There is something behind the furry friendliness.

Well, it’s probably not hard for you to tell that this picture is probably photoshopped. I don’t know which artist did it, but it’s surely interesting :).

A few months ago, three bobcat kittens were found abandoned and were rescued and taken to the Princeville Pet Hospital in California. The three bobcats needed help from the staff in order to survive without a mother.

The clinic gave them an medical exam. Though it was not easy, all the kittens were healthy and ready to be put into a temporary sanctuary at the Wild Life Education and Rehabilitation Center for the next six months.
