cute ginger cats snuggling and sleeping
"To me, this image is Punk and Spew's brotherly love visualised perfectly. While little Punk likes to think he's the alpha male in the house and makes a lot of noise trying to prove it, it's really Spew that carries the size and stature to keep him on top - like he is here." - Ben

Spew and daddy Ben

I adopted the boys at the start of 2008. I’d been wanting a cat in my life for some time, having grown up with them around me and suffering the frustration of not being able to due to rental apartments and what not.

I found them through Sydney Pet Rescue. I felt I should do the right thing and save a couple of more mature cats from an uncertain future. Their names were originally Pumpkin (ginger) and Pierre (long hair) and had been living with foster parents for around nine months when I first enquired about them. They had apparently been found as warehouse strays together and were ‘inseparable’. Now aged around five and six years (the original vet could only guess), they’ve settled in wonderfully to their new home, but do still carry some mental scars from their early years.

About Kink:

Hello, my name is Kink. You’re probably wondering how I got my name and its because I have a cute little kink at the tip of my tail. It’s not really noticeable though. I’m having an identity crisis – I think I am a dog. I fetch and retrieve balls and toys and love to chase my tail. I also love to carry my toy mouse in my mouth all around the house. Being that I am slightly bigger than my sister Kandy, I think I should stay with her to look out for her. ”

About Ruby:

Ruby was brought to the shelter with her kittens Flynn & FInley, she was already pregnant again. Now she is ready to find a home of her own. Ruby is affectionate and friendly, she enjoys being brushed which will need to be a daily routine with her long hair. Ruby has polyps in one of her ears, we had most of them removed when she was spayed, however because of the shape of her ear canal, the vets were unable to remove all of them, she will have chronic ear infections in that ear, this will require cleaning and the application of an antibiotic drop. She is very good about having her ear cleaned. She loves other cats, loves her pillow and looking out the window. Please consider adopting this beautiful girl.”

About Star & Yuki:

Star & Yuki are sisters that were rescued from the shelter. Star is black and white and Yuki is all white with a small smudge of black on her head. Both of these kitties are very sweet. Yuki is the first to check things out, while Star sits back. Both love attention and are very playful. These two would make a great pair! All cats/kittens available for adoption through SVPR have been tested for feline Leukemia and AIDS, are neutered or spayed, have received age-appropriate vaccines, and are free of internal and external parasites.”

About Cheerios:

Cheerios is a sweet little girl with the most amazing orange eyes. She’s one of those kitties that just likes to lay around all day and take in the world. She is very shy but once you pick her up or start petting her, she doesn’t bite or scratch to get away. She would need to go to a home where you’d be willing to work with her to get her to trust you. She just needs a little extra TLC that she can’t get from an animal shelter to bring her out of her shell. She’s looking for a quiet, patient home without small children or seniors.”
