Romeo is a lovely Scottish Fold with beautiful straight ears and pink nose and paws. He is a charmer and a fun kitty who loves to hang out in all types of containers. His hooman Timothy Phelan, a University professor at Miyagi University in Sendai, Japan, has captured many wonderful photos of Romeo.

Isn’t he a sweetheart? :) Photos courtesy of ©Timothy Phelan

cute turkish van relaxed cat napping pic

This is Shironeko. You probably have seen him somewhere – the zen master cat. Shironeko is perhaps the most content and relaxed cat on earth. His name translates literally as “White Cat.” Shironeko was born on March 8th 2002, so that makes him an 8-year-old boy. He may look pudgy in the photos, but he only weighs about 9.9 lbs (4.5kg).

Shironeko looks like a Turkish van cat to me. The most distinctive feature is his eyes. They look like they are always sleepy. Shironeko loves a relaxing day, napping in his basket or anywhere he finds comfortable. He is one adorable kitty :).

You can find more photos of Shironeko at his gallery or blog.

Lily

Lily is a beautiful Calico Persian kitty that belongs to a friend of Julie Everhart, a cat lover and a very talented artist.

“Recently I had the opportunity to take photos of someone’s little calico Persian kitten.” Her friend saw her photos of Paris (the cat), Julie’s first love and contacted her to help her take a few photos of Lily.

“I was so honored and so excited. Just an adorable little girl. Six and a half weeks old. What a little beauty,” Julie said.

cute kitten sniffing cat pic

Cats love to sniff around prodding things with their nose and learning about them that way. If I meet a cat for the first time, I like to point my index finger to his nose and let him smell my scent. Once they start wiping his face against my finger, I know I have been accepted by the cat :). I guess this is the way I make acquaintances with cats. How do you greet your new kitty friends?
