Derby the tiny gray kitten with white paws was found without a mother. Thundercats TNR took in the little orphan and brought him to Bushwick Bark located in Brooklyn, NYC.

At the same time, a feral cat mother Annalise gave birth to a litter of three kittens in one of their humane TNR traps. “We brought Derby home Saturday night and added him to the litter,” said Bushwick Bark.

A stray dog adopted an orphan kitten after losing her litter of puppies. They were discovered in a roadside ditch on March 17. The dog couldn’t let her baby out of her sight.

The unlikely pair were rescued and taken to the Mercy Animal Clinic in Garland, Texas. The little baby kitten, less than 10 days old, has been nursing on the dog mama for milk.

They named them Pittie and Kitty. [Scroll down for videos]

“Each morning and when I go in to get Kitty for a feeding she is usually snuggled with Pittie,” said Dr. Rick Hamlin. “Every morning Pittie is happy to see Kitty and cleans her up.”

“There have been well-wishes coming in from around the world as far as Singapore, Slovenia and Australia.

We are currently interviewing potential adopters with the stipulation that they go together.”

“They’ve made it together this far,” he added.

A tiny one week old kitten came to an animal clinic without a mom.

“My girlfriend is a vet. Someone dropped off this 1 week old kitten,” said TeddyPeep via reddit. They named him Orange Pekoe.

“It was tough bottle feeding Pekoe and fortunately, we found a mother who had just had a litter of kittens for him to nurse with. He’s been WAY happier,” he added. “She’s a really sweet momma kitty. As soon as we got her home, she flopped down for the babies to eat. It was pretty darn cute.” (reddit)

“Pekoe loves sitting in our laps and he purrs CONSTANTLY.” After fostering the little ginger kitty for a period of time, they simply couldn’t part with him.

Meet Orange Pekoe! He was just 1 week old when he was dropped off at the vet’s. They took him home and started caring for him round the clock.

A rescue cat mama was introduced to a tiny orphan kitten who was in need of some motherly love. “Everything went better than expected!”

Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue wrote: “He was the only kitten born to a senior momma, she rejected him and he spent the first 15 hours of his life without food or warmth. A wonderful lady in the animal rescue community took him in and put out the call on facebook to try and find a nursing mother to place him with.

My friend had just taken in a mother with 4-week-old kittens from another rescuer, so our organization offered to take him. He’s done amazingly well and bonded with all his siblings and mom. He is now reserved for adoption and is a fat, adorable ball of fluff who loves getting his tummy scratched.”

This little ball of fur was in need of some motherly love.
