The video about a a ginger kitten Mango and a pit puppy Milkshake went viral on YouTube. They are both rescues from Kitten Rescue, rescue group based in Los Angeles. Here is the story behind the video:

Back in August last year, Kitten Rescue and Best Friends responded to a plea to rescue a litter of pit bull puppies from the South LA shelter. While Best Friends was pulling the puppies, they were given a 4-day old kitten who still needed bottle feeding. Kitten Rescue took in the babies. When they saw the little ones, they knew that these guys were meant to be raised together.

“The kitten has grown up with the two puppies like they are family. They eat together, play together and sleep together in a constant visual display of adorableness that would melt even the coldest of hearts. The foster parents named the kitten ‘Mango’ and the two puppies ‘Milkshake’ and ‘Boo Boo’,” Kitten Rescue wrote on their website.

Mango and Milkshake are extremely close. They are totally inseparable!

These tiny foster kittens had a special sitter who wasn’t feline, but was like a mother to them. They would climb all over her, but she never minded at all.

“Kiwi fostered a few kitten litters both through the feral cat program (Feral pregnant Mamas we’d raise litters from), and for a local shelter.  She always did such an amazing job with them, esp the litters where the mamas would have nothing to do with humans.  Kiwi would often become a mama figure once the kittens were out exploring and Mama would abandon them because they socialized with people.  We have a cat who was raised by Kiwi, helping her legacy of love live on,” said Emily Rose.
