Two homeless kittens were taken in by a rescue dog who became the mother they never had.

Ms. Jackson is a rescue dog who has a big heart, especially for little foster kittens. She was adopted to a family that brings in foster kittens. When they brought back a pair of homeless kittens from the shelter, her motherly instinct kicked in and started cleaning and caring for them like a mother would. The kittens fell in love and began to nurse on their surrogate mom.

“She was letting them try to nurse this morning…it was too much,” said jeckhrdt via imgur.

young boys rescued three kittens from drain pipe

Three young boys from Cape Coral, Florida saved three tiny kittens from a drainage pipe last Tuesday and have been caring for the fur babies since.

Racha Leasure’s two boys and their friend found the kittens soaking wet in the drainage pipe after Tuesday’s rain storms.

“Colin, his brother Steven and best friend Jaden came together to save the scared, wet and lonely kitties. After a good cleaning, a nice feeding and a lots of lovin’, newly named Grayson, Yoda & Simba finally huddle[d] up to sleep, purring harmoniously,” Racha wrote to WINK News.

henry ginger Male cat nurtures litter of abandoned kittens

Henry is an 8 month old rescue cat with a neurological disorder that makes him wobbly, but the ginger boy has surprised everyone with his strong mothering instinct. When he met a litter of abandoned kittens found on the side of the road, he took them in and started nurturing them as his own.

The six tiny three week old kittens were found in a cardboard box on Price of Wales, in Alaska. “Luckily, some children walking home from school heard them crying in their box,” Heather Muench of the Ketchikan Humane Society told KRBD.

While Muench was caring for the kittens around the clock, Henry decided he would lent her a helping paw, and right then, his paternal instinct kicked in. “It’s really kind of cute,” said Muench. “The first thing he does is start compulsively licking one. He’ll spend hours in there, licking them, over, repeatedly. I think, ‘Oh my gosh, they’re not going to have any fur left.’ But, he’s really good at cleaning them up. I shouldn’t complain, because then I don’t have to do it.

The cat nurturing, it’s increasing their chance of surviving.”

Henry takes his job very seriously. “Yesterday, when I took them to work with me, he was very upset because someone had stolen his babies for the day,” she added. “When they came home, he was like, ‘Get them out of the carrying case. Put my babies back!”

Though Henry is a great help, Muench had to take the babies with her to work to keep them fed.

Henry is such a devoted dad who has made a huge difference for these little kittens.

WATCH VIDEO: “Mama Henry paced and cried all day because Opposable Thumbs made off with his kittens and took them to the veterinary clinic. When they were returned, he hopped in to give everyone a thorough washing and make sure they were all in good shape. You can tell by the look he gives the camera at the end that he’s saying, ‘Well, lucky for you they’re fine, but don’t let this happen again.'”

man teams up with monkey saving abandoned kittens taiwan

A monkey dubbed Positi from the Shoushan National Nature Park in Taiwan is known for his love for stray kittens. Six little homeless kittens have been rescued by the monkey. A famous Taiwanese scientist for macaques, Lin Chin-fu, has been on a quest to catch the kittens rescued by his primate friend and provide them the proper medical care, food and forever homes they desperately need.

This is a heart warming story about a man teaming up with a monkey to save the lives of many abandoned kittens.

According to Taipei Times, Positi imitated female monkeys to care and nurse his kittens. He fought other macaques for food for the kittens and was seen teasing the kittens to sleep like it would a baby monkey. “It’s difficult for people to catch the kittens from the monkey. We have spent a lot of time with them, but it’s still not an easy task. It takes two people to do the job,” Lin said.

“The monkey is truly kind to the kittens. They are kept very clean, free of parasites.”

Lin usually spends hours sitting with Positi, talking to him, trying to bond to gain trust. “Last time, I sat here with the monkey from 10:30am to 1:30pm.”

After Lin successfully snatched the kitten from his surrogate ‘mom,’ he took the little feline baby to the vet for evaluation.

“The monkey has done a great job caring for it,” said the vet. “Weighing in about 300g, the kitten is very skinny. Hope next time he comes, his weight can go up more.”

“It certainly will!” Lin responded with confidence.

When Lin saw the kitten getting food and liquid, he felt a sigh of relief and was beaming with joy, knowing that the kitten was going to be OK.

They named the kitten Qiqi and now he’s living happily with Lin, his forever human.

Out of the six kittens rescued by Positi, four of them found their home with Lin, one didn’t make it, and one was adopted by another family.

The kittens appeared to be in good health despite being left without food. Now they have been put in the care of the Branford Compassion Club until they are old enough for adoption.

“The box kittens are all on deposit and have been placed in foster homes to get big enough to be vetted before they go to their permanent homes,” the rescue wrote at Facebook.

Meet Koko and YumYum! Both of them were born with a deformed hind leg, but nothing can stop these fuzzy little guys!

“Yesterday I stopped by Saving Grace Rescue Inc to meet these two – they are both tripods, and are missing their right foot in the back. They are named Koko and Yum Yum,” Josh Norem of the Furrtographer wrote.

“We think they might have had the umbilical cord wrapped around them during their development, so the foot never materialized. Needless to say it in now way impedes their mobility, or cuteness,” he added.

Six kittens were found abandoned in a trash bag outside of the Indian Land Walmart. “They are about 8 days old. Ironically we have a female cat that lost her kittens on Thursday, we have put these babies with her and she fell in love,” Indian Land Animal Hospital wrote at Facebook.

“This is so heartwarming for us to watch her cuddle up with these orphans. All of them will need homes in about 7 weeks. They are so precious.”

At the same time, they had a ginger momma cat, Sandrine, who just lost her babies, so they placed the litter with the mama, hoping she would nurse them. She took to them right away!

“The 6 kittens are doing very well. They have names: Lil Jack (the runt), Louie Armstrong, John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra, and Cricket. One of the tecnicians said it was their strong voices that saved them.”
