Two homeless kittens were taken in by a rescue dog who became the mother they never had.

Ms. Jackson is a rescue dog who has a big heart, especially for little foster kittens. She was adopted to a family that brings in foster kittens. When they brought back a pair of homeless kittens from the shelter, her motherly instinct kicked in and started cleaning and caring for them like a mother would. The kittens fell in love and began to nurse on their surrogate mom.

“She was letting them try to nurse this morning…it was too much,” said jeckhrdt via imgur.

man teams up with monkey saving abandoned kittens taiwan

A monkey dubbed Positi from the Shoushan National Nature Park in Taiwan is known for his love for stray kittens. Six little homeless kittens have been rescued by the monkey. A famous Taiwanese scientist for macaques, Lin Chin-fu, has been on a quest to catch the kittens rescued by his primate friend and provide them the proper medical care, food and forever homes they desperately need.

This is a heart warming story about a man teaming up with a monkey to save the lives of many abandoned kittens.

According to Taipei Times, Positi imitated female monkeys to care and nurse his kittens. He fought other macaques for food for the kittens and was seen teasing the kittens to sleep like it would a baby monkey. “It’s difficult for people to catch the kittens from the monkey. We have spent a lot of time with them, but it’s still not an easy task. It takes two people to do the job,” Lin said.

“The monkey is truly kind to the kittens. They are kept very clean, free of parasites.”

Lin usually spends hours sitting with Positi, talking to him, trying to bond to gain trust. “Last time, I sat here with the monkey from 10:30am to 1:30pm.”

After Lin successfully snatched the kitten from his surrogate ‘mom,’ he took the little feline baby to the vet for evaluation.

“The monkey has done a great job caring for it,” said the vet. “Weighing in about 300g, the kitten is very skinny. Hope next time he comes, his weight can go up more.”

“It certainly will!” Lin responded with confidence.

When Lin saw the kitten getting food and liquid, he felt a sigh of relief and was beaming with joy, knowing that the kitten was going to be OK.

They named the kitten Qiqi and now he’s living happily with Lin, his forever human.

Out of the six kittens rescued by Positi, four of them found their home with Lin, one didn’t make it, and one was adopted by another family.

As for the monkey, he is still living at the park, caring for other stray kittens.

Six kittens were found abandoned in a trash bag outside of the Indian Land Walmart. “They are about 8 days old. Ironically we have a female cat that lost her kittens on Thursday, we have put these babies with her and she fell in love,” Indian Land Animal Hospital wrote at Facebook.

“This is so heartwarming for us to watch her cuddle up with these orphans. All of them will need homes in about 7 weeks. They are so precious.”

At the same time, they had a ginger momma cat, Sandrine, who just lost her babies, so they placed the litter with the mama, hoping she would nurse them. She took to them right away!

“The 6 kittens are doing very well. They have names: Lil Jack (the runt), Louie Armstrong, John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra, and Cricket. One of the tecnicians said it was their strong voices that saved them.”

“They are nursing but still getting fed by the technicians to supplement them. Sandy loves them so much; as we all do.”

Kit is a super mom who recently adopted four abandoned newborn puppies and gave them a chance to survive and thrive. But that’s not all.

The tiny Chihuahua puppies were found in a box on a car in the West Valley City, Utah. The woman who discovered the puppies saw a note on the box indicating that the puppies were motherless.

When she took the puppies to the shelter for help, the staff decided to put them with a surrogate cat mom to try to save their lives.

“The puppies would not have survived into the night without food, so we’re lucky that the woman found them on her car when she did,” Deann Shepherd of Humane Society of Utah told Fox13.

With help from Kit the cat mom whose kittens had been adopted, the puppies all made it through the night and are now getting care and lots of bottle feeding from the volunteers.

Now Kit is taking care of a new litter of orphan kittens that need some motherly love. When the kittens were introduced to their new mom, she took to them right away and started nursing the little ones like her own.

Though Kit is a super mom at the shelter, she is also looking for a forever loving home for herself.

A stray dog adopted an orphan kitten after losing her litter of puppies. They were discovered in a roadside ditch on March 17. The dog couldn’t let her baby out of her sight.

The unlikely pair were rescued and taken to the Mercy Animal Clinic in Garland, Texas. The little baby kitten, less than 10 days old, has been nursing on the dog mama for milk.

They named them Pittie and Kitty. [Scroll down for videos]

“Each morning and when I go in to get Kitty for a feeding she is usually snuggled with Pittie,” said Dr. Rick Hamlin. “Every morning Pittie is happy to see Kitty and cleans her up.”

“There have been well-wishes coming in from around the world as far as Singapore, Slovenia and Australia.

We are currently interviewing potential adopters with the stipulation that they go together.”

“They’ve made it together this far,” he added.

A litter of orphaned kittens were rescued in the woods. When Shannon William’s daughter brought them home, their Boston Terrier began to nurse them despite not having been pregnant.

The kittens were found outside, cold and wet, when they were about a week old. Memory the dog used to be afraid of cats, but took in the little orphan babies and began nurturing and cuddling with the days-old kittens.

“She’s nursing them, cleaning them, carrying them around, everything.” Shannon wrote via Facebook.

“She’s been very protective from day one,” she told The Huffington Post. “On the second day that we had them, my daughter had one of the kittens in her hands. And Memory my dog took it out of her hands and carried it back to her dog bed with the other kittens.

“She would carry them up on the couch with her. If they got up and started to walk to the edge of the couch she got up, picked them up with her mouth and laid them down with her.”
