2 Itty Bitty Kitties Found Second Chance at Life

Moni spotted two tiny kittens that were only about 2 – 3 days old. She couldn’t bear seeing them out by themselves so took them into her home despite her allergies. As soon as she came home with the kitties, her doggie, Midge came to help. “Midge, my little helper, loves caring for the kitties. She’ll lick them and help me care for the babies,” Moni wrote on her flickr.

Lunch time! Nom nom!

Midge groomed them like a tireless mother. She was there every step of the way. They had many sleepless nights together. Whenever the kitties were crying, Midge would

jump into action and started licking them and comforting them.  The kittens put on weight and gained a lot of strength in their care. They saw the little ones opening their eyes for the first time and having their first exploration around the room under Midge’s supervision.

The two babies were eventually adopted together by a nice family and are very loved and spoiled at their forever loving home.

Thanks ©Moni for the lovely photos and story.

Moni, you did a noble thing!! Cat allergies are not normally affected by kittens under 2-3 months old. Their saliva does not produce whatever it is that interacts with their fur and triggers allergies like adult cats do. i should know as I have cat allergies and that hasn't stopped me from saving many an orphan kitten. So glad that Midge helped you;animals can be great like that I've always had an older cat help me look after the little ones… I hope you get to visit the kittens from time to time as you were their first "Momma"!

What great pictures, and what an adorable family, too bad that they all couldn't stay together, but I'm glad that they found forever homes!

Hey, these little puppies are kinda funny-shaped! They smell a little funny, too. But I love them anyway. That calico one has markings kind of like mine. I guess I must be their mom!
