This tiny ginger fuzzball bonds with a big dog who helped rescue her from a grass hut.
It was a summer day, Irina M. and her dog Collie were out on a walk. They spotted a small hungry kitten in a hut. “Veterinarian did not give assurance that it will survive. But she really wanted to live and quickly recovered,” said Irina. Collie took to the little kitty and became a very protective friend.
Kitty is a bit shy at first:
“Don’t worry. I will protect you.”
They soon become close furiends.
“You are MY doggie now!”
They found her a permenant home and named her Bree.

I like the last photo, where Bree is relaxing on the big collie’s legs. Bree has lovely eyes. Thanks to Irina for rescuing her.
I’m a few months behind in opening this terrific “kitty” newsletter! Just adore all of the wonderful photos and heartwarming stories from the “feline” universe. Thanks all for sharing. It’s always a day brightener–especially when two different species befriend each other.
We have two remaining male cats who simply do not get along after more than five years. Life would be so much better if we could succeed in bringing about a true feline friendship. We love them both dearly and equally. We lost a third, older boy,(Dexter 2) just before Thanksgiving and we thought that this sad loss would bind the two remaining cats, Pauli and Sam 2. It has not.
Happy 2012 to all!
Best wishes, Karen
this is a very cute story
