This stray cat who lives in the IBM offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina, just received his very own badge, which makes him an official IBM cat.

He practically lives at the cafeteria, and gets fed, given water, and sometimes even brushed regularly. He also gets petted all the time, and loves it. And he has all his shots. He’s as happy as he can be.”
The IBM employees thought he was part of the corporation, so made him his very own badge.
Edit: According to Clashloudly: “there was a mix-up at corporate and he got a different cat’s badge…. However, don’t worry about him not getting past security with that badge! He’s always had free access.”

wow. quite different from the 7up corporation’s response to their cats. they fired the man who was feeding them, larry ottaviani, then had them ‘removed’.

Hate to tell you this, he’s not a stray anymore. Shots, food, brushing, badge. Nope, not a stray. Lol
I love this. It would be so awesome if all businesses whether they are corporations or mom and pop would adopt a stray. There are so many, and it would be so much better than simply putting them down. It could be a dog or a cat…just something to help these unwanted animals. It would be another way for us to love our planet and fellow creatures.
I’m glad to see a big business not afraid to be friendly towards a little friend.
What’s so funny is that there is another cat who has a badge also! Does that cat have the badge beloning to this one? Cute story.
Kudos to IBM for being so openminded and openhearted. I once found myself in the possession of a week old kitten that needed fostering and my employer wouldn’t let me do so–even though I kept the tiny, helpless, harmless baby in a small cat carrier under my desk where it basically slept all day. I was told it was a health hazard and to get rid of it!!! (But people coming to work sick or smoking outside the door to the office was perfectly fine.) Meanwhile other places are civilized enough to let people bring their pets to work with them! Health hazard, my a**. That employer was horrible to its staff and has no interest in employee relations. Needless to say, I don’t work there anymore and I don’t recommend anyone else work there either.
I love how everyone noticed the cat in the badge is different from the actual cat… Ohhh, cat people!
