Man Saves Four Cats in Frigid Blizzard

Four cats found themselves abandoned during a frigid blizzard on December 26th.

The box the kittens were found in

Nathan L. P. found them dumped in a box on Country Road 37, and immediately phoned the Humane Society of Sandusky County for the rescue.

The kittens were put in a “Shop-Vac” box and half covered in snow when found. The agent from the humane society quickly transported them to the shelter and provided very needed warmth, food, and a lot of love.

Kelly Askins from HSSC Shelter gave WNWO updates on the four kitties that they are “staying warm and keeping their bellies full.” All four of them are now ready for their forever loving homes.

If you are interested in adopting, you can reach the Humane Society of Sandusky County at (419) 334-4517 or visit their Facebook.

Such beautiful babies. Disgusting that someone would leave them in such conditions…

  2. rezgirl says:

People are so evil when comes to animals, all they had to do is take the kittens to a pet shelter. Instead of just tossing them like trash. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
Thank you kind man for rescuing these poor babies they would’ve died freezing. I hope they find a kind and loving furrever home.

  3. vix says:

Unbelievable that anyone should want to dump animals like that … but, there you go, proof that some people are garbage. Best wishes to the rescuer and the kitties.

  4. Christine says:

I’d like the person who did this to be left out in the snow.. With nothing more than a box. God bless the good person who helped these babies.

  5. Lauren says:

Aww! How could anyone do that?! Whoever dumped these beautiful kitties in the cold and snow like trash must be heartless scum and a true monster.

Praise the Lord for the miracle that brought their hero Nathan to them despite a raging blizzard. They might not have been found before it was too late!

I hope that all four of these cats find their forever loving homes soon! Let’s hope that the new year brings new, good people into their lives that will love and care for them as long as they live.

  6. Sue says:

It is horrible that these innocent cats were dumped like trash and left to die. The human race can be so very ugly. Thankfully there are people who care and that these four cats were rescued.

    • Debra Olsen says:

Just too many stories like these…truly heartbreaking. Thank goodness there are at least some good people in the world who care about those that cannot help themselves!

  7. Chris says:

Poor babies! Thank god for Nathan!

  8. Alice says:

The black one looks just like my Sabbath!

  9. Alice says:

It’s disgusting that someone could just leave 4 tiny helpless kittens to fend for themselves in the snow. This monster probably wouldn’t hesitate to leave their own offspring somewhere when they’re too much trouble to look after.

  10. Dee says:

May the Universe richly bless this man and the kitties. Thank you for saving these sweet and innocent souls!

  11. nolruck says:

  12. Debbie says:

This sort of thing makes my blood boil! Those kitties didn’t just end up in that box by themselves. Thank god somebody found them.

  13. Tina1649 says:

  16. katie k says:

That was a wonderful survival story thanks to Nathan, God put you there at the right time to find those beautiful babies. May your New Year will be filled with love and the kittens find a forever home!!

  17. Peggy K. says:

Thank god that these babies were saved and thank god for Nathan. It never ceases to disgust and disturb me on how a human being can be so cruel. I hope they find the person who did this. Or, I hope that person finds out about how we all think that he/she is a huge inhuman DICK!

  18. pumbie says:

Whoever does such a thing like that-leaving these kitties in the snow-, is inhuman!. (Precious kitties).

    • Debra Olsen says:

Hard to believe such “people” ~ (if you can call them that) exist in the world…sadly, there are just too many of them.

  19. Debra Olsen says:

The person or person’s who committed this atrocious crime against the innocents are the scum of the Earth! May your bad karma come back to haunt you many times over!!!

  20. Nancy Sandoval says:

What kind of a life, does someone have, that will do something like this? What a miserable existence they must live. To get four adorable kittens, put them into a box, put the box in a car, all the time hearing the cute little “meows” take the box out of the car, and place it in a spot in the snow and leave. Again, all the time being able to hear the cute little “meows” I know all of these kittens will get a good home. To the man that saved them: You are my HERO! and the kitten’s HERO! Thank You. I hope that you have a Fantastic life

  21. Iffat says:

Only an atrocious monster would do such a thing. He/she deserves to be homeless in blizzard.

  22. Michelle says:

People can be so damn cruel. I’m glad Nathan found them and saved their little lives. I wish there were more caring people in this world like Nathan.
