Caffrey a black Persian cat is very special. He is only left with two legs both on the right side. The 13 year old strong-willed cat is able to walk and live a normal life despite having only two legs.
When he was three years old, he lost his left hind leg in a car accident. “After £3,500 worth of operations, he battled on with his life,” reported Daily Mail.
For the next 10 years, Caffrey lived with three legs so well that he never felt any different. Then one day, they discovered a malignant growth on his left front leg. “His owner Sue Greaves, 58, couldn’t bear to have him put down or put him through the pain of chemotherapy with no guarantee of success,” so they had the leg amputated with another £4,000 operation.
“When her vet sought opinions from four colleagues, all said it shouldn’t be done. They insisted he would be unable to walk and his life would not be worth living.” (Daily Mail) But Caffrey amazed them all when he started running around, bounding about in their garden. He defied what others thought about him and managed to lead a normal life despite having no left-side legs.

What an amazing cat Caffrey is. To the owner many “kitty thanks” for letting him live out his life on his terms.
Awesome that he gets to live out a full and loved happy life.
Our pets are not toasters to take back when they have issues. Once we take them into our lives, we have a duty to their entire lives.
I totally agree with you, well said…
Caffrey ia a real champion!.
I am in love. This cat and Anakin are fantastic.
INDEED.
Amazing resilience, impressive – kudos!
Caff is AWESOME. Compare this little fighter to so many people that just give up because they have a headache, or are bored for 5 minutes without their cellphone, or whatever. What Stephen said above me is totally true.. our pets are NOT toasters to take back when they have issues. We have a duty and responsibility to love and care for our little angels, and Caffrey is a perfect example of not letting a disability keep you down.
We can never underestimate the strength of spirit any animal has. I one time met a farm cat, who had lost both back legs when he was hit by a hay cutting machine, while hunting in a hay field. He disappeared for 3 weeks after he was hit. The farmer thought the cat had gone off somewhere to die. Instead, the cat came back, walking with his back end balanced up over his front shoulders. He went right back to being the boss in the barn. Still catching rats and beating up on intruders in his barn.
Amazing – thank you for taking care of Caffrey for the rest of his amazing life. Angels smile on you!!
So amazing… <3

this is such a beautiful story, I had tears of joy and warm fuzzies for his inspirational success.
What a brave and beautiful boy!!!!
What an amazing kitty! I am so impressed by his nonchalance and ability to motor around on only 2 legs. Animals seem to be unfazed by so much — they just take it in stride (pun intended!). Inspirational.
aaaw what a sweet baby! caffrey is amazing!
Fantastic!
Cats don’t care what WE think they can do, they just get on with what THEY want to do!
When you love your pets they give back to you like my Kitty God bless them all!!!!
He is AWESOME. There is one amazing thing about cats with physical “disabilities” – they DON’T KNOW they have “disabilities”. They just go on with their lives – or, if they’re born like that, they go from the start like that. They don’t know they’re different and they live normally; their lives are normal to them. That’s the best thing about it all.
We can learn a lot from them.
What a brave kitty! Thank you for taking such great care of him and taking the right decisions. It mustn’t have been easy.
Thank you for taking such great care of him. He is one positive, strong-willed cat. I wish the best for both him and the owner.
I totally love stories like this! It’s like the animal is thumbing their noses at us because we don’t pay attention to them enough to understand the possibilities.
Proof that if you’re not “told” you can’t do it, then anything is possible.
Many thanks and much respect to Caff and his family.
Love this story, and thanks for giving Caffrey a chance!! He looks really happy to me. We often do surgeries for our rescues and even cats taht are FIV+ or feral and I am always happy when people are supportive of our diecision to do so.
What a great story and awesome cat! and owner too!
Very sweet fluffy boy!
What a cat!!!!!!!! And what an owner!!
I LOVE THIS CAT!! IS HE A MAINE COON?
HE SURE LOOKS LIKE ONE!
VERY HANDSOME BOY!!
MEOW THINK YOU ARE ONE GREAT FAMILY!!
CAT AND HUMANS!! YOU ALL ROCK!!
GOD BLESS YOU CAT!! KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!
Cats are amazing, aren’t they? They do have an incredible sense of balance, which I’m sure is helping Caffrey walk on his two remaining legs.
As long as an animal is happy, nothing else matters.
I think we humans need to be more strong will as animals are.
That’s great that he’s still mobile
This is amazing! Caffrey is wonderful!
I lost my kitty Mr. Pur Fur last November. He was 15. He was my best friend. If I could of saved him I would have. I miss him. Animals we share a special bond with words can’t express how much they enhance our lives. God bless Caffrey and god bless all of you for making it happen
