Thank you guys for coming to Love Meow. I have 4 rescue cats: Jackie, Lucy Shadow and Flip. They are my motivation for this blog. It’s a pawsome feeling to see we come together to share our stories and thoughts about these lovely furry creatures.
Cats are wonderful and I can never get tired of telling people that. Their photos and videos keep us entertained and happy whenever we need a stress reliever. They never fail to bring joy and sunshine into our lives, but we should never forget about the hundreds of thousands of homeless cats that are eager to find a permanent home.
I have covered many stories about animal rescues and shelters such as the Cat House on the Kings, Tabby’s Place, Richmond Animal Protection Society, and many more. I even got in touch with Lynea Lattanzio from the Cat House on the Kings and learned about what a dedicated animal rescuer she is. Their stories and your stories have inspired me to step up and do what I can to help.
I thought about what I could do through blogging to help raise the awareness of animal rescue and adoption and to help to shelters that are trying so hard to save hundreds of thousands of lives.
There is a project called “FreeRice” which goal is to help end hunger. Basically you play a vocabulary game on their website, and every time you get an answer right, they will donate 10 grains of rice. I think it is a great idea and I want to do something similar for animals.
I started a commentathon project. Here is how it works:
- For every comment you make on the Love Meow website => I will donate 5 cents from my own pocket to the cause
(You can leave as many comments as you’d like, but no spam please)
All the funds will go to an animal shelter of your choice. You can nominate a shelter to receive my donation and get featured on Love Meow. Click this link to send me their website URL or contact information. The animal shelter must be a government proved charitable organization such as a US 501(c)(3) non profit corporation or a charitable non-profit organization that is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency.
I would definitely like to increase the funds. There are a lot of costs that go into running and maintaining the blog, but I am doing what I can to keep the program going. Hopefully I can do more later. Thank you all for all your support.
There is a fundraising meter on the sidebar for you guys to keep tabs on it.
Remember to visit your local animal shelters to make a donation or drop off some food.
Meow,
Amy ![]()

Hi
What a wonderful, wonderful idea! I'm still going "awwww" at all the gorgeous pics here and want to adopt them all! Oh if only I could.

Thank you for coming into my blog – I'm so glad you did. You have a wonderful Meow family and this site ROCKS!
GOOD LUCK with your fundraising. Well done you.
Take care

. I love all cats and wish I could help them all.
I am a complete Crazy Cat Lady and I love your blog.
awww Thank you Mary
I am a complete Crazy Cat Lady too.
I love this website. I am know in my apartment complex as the crazy cat lady & I love it. Unfortunately here in A.Z alot of people move out of there apartments & homes and leave behind there pets. It seems alot more cats are just dumped out on the streets. It makes me so upset. I have been lucky & found good homes for four cats so far. If anyone knows of a good no kill Here in A.Z please let me know. Most shelters are full or they are not a no kill. So if anyone knows good shelters please contact me. I live right outside of Phoniex. Thank you so much, The crazy cat lady of Glendale A.Z
what a wonderful thing you are doing!! I love this website, and I have four wonderful kittys of my own that had no home to go to.
Thank you Robin. I feel so blessed to have adopted my kitties. They have made my life gazillions better. They are like my little angels
.
I love this idea! it’s so simple and wonderful! I got my cat from the local SPCA, and his story is quite unique. my friend’s mom who works at the SPCA told me that a lady drove my kitten from a small town (about 2 hours away) to the SPCA, and he was very traumatized because he just saw his brother get eaten by a dog! He was so freaked out, he was pooping in his food, but now he has a loving home, and tons of food to eat haha!
awwww I am glad he has a wonderful home right now
. Thank you Bre. My kitties are sending lots of purrs to your kitty.
Absolutely brilliant! We are going to take up a little space in the cheering section. Awesome.

How cute! I'm a dog owner, but I love kitties too! I wish I could give homes to all the wonderful kitties and doggies out there.
Especially during this horrible winter, the animals will really appreciate your extra help. Meow!
that is a great idea i love that you are trying to help animals that are homeless it breaks my heart to know that some many animals die each year just because they cant find a home!!
I wish I could adopt them all.
Though what I am doing is very little, I hope it will help make a small difference for many furry friends that need a home.

awwww Thank you Janet. You are so kind
. I am so thankful to be able to share what I love with you guys. My kitties are sending a lot of purrs to you!
Fabulous website with a great concept. I always knew cat people are a terrific breed. I just lost my cat to cancer after 17 loving years with her, and I decided to start volunteering at our county humane society to honor her memory.
Here's to helping our furry friends.
Awww thank you for helping out at your county humane society. My kitties are sending you a lot of purrs!
Oh my gosh we love ths! We did a commentathon at our blog last year and got over 100 comments in only a few days (we did .25 per post because of the shorter timeframe) by letting the cat blogosphere know – I bet you would get a ton of comments if you post a link there! WE think this is a great idea and a great cause!
Thank you. I will definitely check out blogosphere.
Thank you so much. I have raised the amount from 1 cent to 5 cents. Hopefully it will speed up the fundraising a little bit
I LOVE Love Meow!! I wish you excellent luck on the fundraiser, and will steer people here every chance I get!!
Cats rule!!
awww thank you
. You are pawsome!
What a greta idea! I will start commenting!
awww thank you
Great idea – I found this because of your widget posted by Amy and the House of Cats on her blog. It's a great way to support a very worthy cause!
This is so cool! I rescue and socialize feral cats and kittens. We[my husband and I] spay/neuter and release adults that cannot be socialized and spay/neuter socialize and find homes for feral kittens. We love cats, and since our local feral cat society succumbed to financial woes, we have tried to do our part by ourselves. We have good luck with the kittens, and have even litter trained, socialized, and adopted out a few adults [something that is supposed to be impossible, but with love, a lot of things are possible] I currently have a gorgeous 3 year old black male[neutered] that we started socializing when he was about 18 months old. He is now litter trained, and sleeps at the foot of our bed every night. Cats are wonderful and need our love. You do good things, and this is a good place
It amazes me that no matter how many kitties I see, there is not a one that has not touched my heart, nudged my need to pet and love nor a one I wouldn't take as my own! Yet I cannot say the same thing for people! I would go so far as to say there wasn't a single person I saw today, (in passing) that I felt compelled to reach out and touch, to nuzzle their neck, to pet their hair or would I gladly take them into my home with no futher information. Yet a cat or kitten can win me over merely by sight. Nothing more needed. Hmmmm, does that make me anti-social? Your project is a God send and my prayers are for your continued sucess and total support and generous donations. God Bless you and yours and thank you, from my heart and my home with Kitteh purrs galore. XXXXXXXX
Joy I totally agree with all your sentiments but I would probably take you in as well!! xx
Thank you so much for doing this! You certainly have a kind heart for doing this :3. I'll definetly try to comment a lot
! This was a purrfect idea!
-Julia and Delilah(AKA Beanie, my kitty cat), 11 years old (don't be surprised! I just had to join this place because I love kitties
.

. My kitties are sending purrs to you guys.
Great idea! have 2 wonderful pals now, Dusty (8) and Taz (3 1/2) and yes his name fits him!! will pass
the info along to all my other CCF's
This is a great idea! Purfect.I'm giving my full support♥
Theo is very handsome & smart.
Incredibly great initiative, hope you’ll get loads of comments! Cats have such personalities, all of them, you can never get bored of them. We always have a problem with adopting most of the local strays (who mostly find us as kittens, already), since the number of the members of the “family” is rapidly increasing… But you just can’t say no to a kitten.
Love this site! Love that just making a comment help the kitties! Adorable cats on this page!!! I'm glad to be a part of this group for sure!
Absolutely fabulous idea. I've no kitties of my own at the mo but I'm hoping to get some soon. This is a really great idea
I just love your site and could quite happily spend several hours just looking at the beautiful cats on your site. I will keep visiting and let my friends know. Keep up the wonderful work!
Awww thank you
. That means a lot to us.
Sonny the snow cat looks like he enjoys the out doors no matter what, much like our Gibson, the polar cat. Helps that Gibby is probably a Norwegian Forest Cat mix.
Enjoyed your site. I am a cat lover too, have 4, 2 inside and 2 outside. I always tell everyone we inherited them while we were not at home. Even though 3 are feral cats and one a stray I love them all. They are all spayed and happy cats.
How wonderful
.
I am so glad that you like my site. That means a lot to me
I LOOOOOVE this site, I can't get enough of the cute pictures that are on here. What a great idea!!!
aww thank you so much Paula
Great page – added to my book marks!
